One day in Luxembourg City

0
Let's start off with some interesting notes about Luxembourg, or should I say Grand Duchy of Luxembourg?

  • It is considered a microstate in Europe according to its size and population.
  • It has 3 official languages: German, French and Luxembourgish.
  • The first years of primary school are in Luxembourgish, before changing to German; while in secondary school, the language of instruction changes to French. Proficiency in all three languages is required for graduation.
  • It is 1 of the 49 landlocked countries - this means it isn't connected to the World Ocean.

Transportation

Luxembourg it's a very short drive from where we live: 1 hour and 45 minutes. Once in the city, we parked underground and walked to the main tourist attractions. Easy peasy!
