THE PERFECT LAS VEGAS ITINERARY

0

If you haven't heard about Las Vegas, it is known as Sin City or the city that never sleeps. Famous city for its casinos, entertainment and "last-minute" weddings. Most of the fun happens in The Strip which is a 4.2 mile street full of entertainment, restaurants, shopping, etc. The best time to visit Vegas is in Autumn and Spring. Check out our 4-day weekend itinerary:

Day 1

We arrived at 8:30am to LAS airport and took the shuttle to pick up our rental car at Dollar.

Quick stop at Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign before it gets too crowded. If you want to skip the line, take a side picture like we did. Parking is free but limited.

Early check in at The Westin Las Vegas Hotel & Spa. We loved the fact that our hotel didn't have a casino which avoids the thousands of people going in and out of the hotel.

Walk to The Strip to explore the area:

1. Walked past Eiffel Tower, Paris Balloon and Arc de Triomphe.

2. Lunch at Lardo located in the 2nd floor of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. They offer sandwiches and drinks. There are many food options in this hotel.

3. Walked through malls and stores to cool down, then stopped at Coca Cola Store and M&M's store.

4. Crossed the bridge to New York New York Hotel and Casino. Enjoy the view of the Replica Statue of Liberty and The Big Apple Coaster.  Happy Hour at Pour 24!!

5. Explore the MGM Grand

6. Back to The Westin for a 2 hour power nap (Outside temperature was over 100 degrees Fahrenheit and we walked over 15,000 steps).

Drove to Sofrito Rico Authentic Puerto Rican Cuisine for dinner. We had loaded fries (pulled pork, yellow plantains and cheese), mofongo with pork, and mofongo with shrimp.

Drove past The Strip to see it lighted up at night.

We bought tickets with anticipation for the High Roller to use anytime from 2pm-12am. Stunning views of The Strip and Las Vegas from over 550ft high. It moves really slow so it takes about 30 minutes to do a full roll.

Walked past Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, crossed the street and walk to Bellagio Hotel and Casino. Enjoy the floral showcase at Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Garden. Observe the aquatic show at Bellagio Fountain.

Day 2

1. Breakfast included at the hotel with a variety of options to choose from. If your hotel doesn't include breakfast, I recommend you make reservations with anticipation to avoid long waits at restaurants.

2. Road trip to Arizona

  • Stop 1: Hoover Dam (50 MINS FROM VEGAS) - They have 3 different tours; 2 of them can be purchased online and 1 of them is walk-in only (first tour is at 9am, so plan the road trip accordingly). Check out their website for more information.

  • Stop 2: Canyon Café (50 MINS FROM HOOVER DAM)- last restroom and restaurant before the Grand Canyon.

  • Stop 3: Grand Canyon Skywalk (50 MINS FROM CANYON CAFE)- Separate charge for general admission and skywalk. I recommend just buy general admission. The views around the area are good enough and you aren't allowed to have your phone or camera in the skywalk so it's not worth it. Be ready to wait 1+ hour to get tickets unless you buy them online. And another 1hr+ to get on the actual skywalk if you decide you want to do that as well.

3. Drove 2 hrs back to Vegas and ordered Colombian food to go at Brasa Roja Las Vegas. We ordered Bandeja Paisa, empanadas and arepas con chorizo.

4. Get ready for Cirque Du Soleil show - KÀ at MGM Grand. We loved everything! From the makeup to the stage, to the performers... simply amazing! *Highlight of the trip* There are 5 other shows you can choose from in Las Vegas. They are all good but check out YouTube videos for reviews of each one. Also, book them in advance to get good seats and prices. PS. No photos or videos allowed during the show.

5. Walked through The Venetian Resort Las Vegas and saw the Gondola Rides from the bridge at the hotel entrance.

Day 3

1. Breakfast at the hotel

2. Drove to Seven Magic Mountains for pictures.

3. Quick stops at Dutch Bros Coffee, Dollar Tree and the famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop

4. Lunch at White Castle

5. Fremont Street Experience

  • Explore the street; music, stores, food, etc.

  • Play board games and buy a flight at Banger Brewing

  • Zipline over the street with Slotzilla (You can buy the tickets online)

6. Enjoy the hotel pool and views of the High Roller from there.

7. Dinner at Outback Steakhouse in the 4th floor of Jouvence Eternelle (Showcase Mall) with views of The Strip.

8. Walk to and explore Caesar's Palace and the Colosseum.

Day 4

1. Breakfast at the hotel

2. Pack, return car rental and head to the lounge to wait for the flight back home!
